Alyth Hotel was formerly a coaching Inn incorporating
the town's principle coffee house.
The ancient coffee house is now
the James Sandy restaurant. He was
a mechanical genius, credited with many inventions,
his most famous
being the concealed hinge incorporated in the Laurencekirk snuff
box.

road approx. 4 miles.
Turn left at the B952 into Alyth.
First right at the Market Square.
Cross Alyth Burn. (Keep burn on the left).
Turn left up Commercial Street.
