Alyth Hotel was formerly a coaching Inn incorporating the town's principle coffee house.
The ancient coffee house is now the James Sandy restaurant. He was a mechanical genius, credited with many inventions,
his most famous being the concealed hinge incorporated in the Laurencekirk snuff box.

The world famous rivers, Tay, Isla and Ericht are
all close by along with many lochs and reservoirs.
Local advice on where to fish for trout and salmon is
readily available in the heart of this fishing country.

Take A93 Perth to Blairgowrie then A926 Blairgowrie to Kirriemuir road approx. 4 miles.
Turn left at the B952 into Alyth.
First right at the Market Square.
Cross Alyth Burn. (Keep burn on the left).
Turn left up Commercial Street.
