Travelling in Scotland, from Aberdeen/Royal Deeside:
Take the A93 from Braemar, signposted Blairgowrie.
About 5 miles past the Spittal of Glenshee,
look for the B951 junction on the left.
Follow through Glenisla village (Glenisla Hotel is on your left).
bends to the right then sharply left before exiting the village.
Next turn sharply left. West Freuchies sign is positioned.
Follow Forestry Commission track for half a mile.
West Freuchies bed & breakfast situated on the hillside offers views of

Travelling from South of Scotland in direction of  Perth
To Blairgowrie, then take A926 East to Alyth.
Continue on to the roundabout and take the second exit signed B954 Glenisla.
Approx 10 miles, route is well signed.
River Isla alongside the on your left and our sign at the start of a Forestry Commission on the right.
Follow this  for half a mile.
Entrance to West Freuchies on the right hand side

Glen Isla, the most westerly of the five glens, is the only one with a through
route accessng the north and south. It is one of the many beautiful glens,
such as Glen Prosen, Glen Lethnot, Glen Clova and Glen Doll,
which comprise the popular Angus Glens.
Glenisla a stopover on the Cateran Trail, a five night circular walk of 64 miles.
The trail is named after the cattle rustlers of the 15th -17th centuries and
uses ancient paths through glens, hills and farmland.
Tranquil countryside in the heart of Scotland close to Dunkeld, Pitlochry, Blairgowrie and Perth.
